the bigger part of transvaal is to be demolished and rebuilt. in the meantime, people are living in these apartments to keep them from squatters. empty apartments are sealed with wooden boards, colored in green. the amount of the sealed windows is growing every day, until whole buildings are "infected" and left awaiting for the day of demolition.
